Hunua Woodcraft is all about creating original, high quality, handcrafted pieces.
Our products are made from sustainable timber grown mostly on our own property. Our master craftsman Chris creates artisan pieces from a variety of timber - each unique in character. The main woods we use are oak, rimu, walnut , pine and gum. These woods have beautiful natural features allowing us to create tactile and timeless pieces which make amazing gifts.

The Ultimate Drinks Cabinet
This original French Oak barrel, once home to 228l of fine Burgundy wine, has now been converted to a magnificent drinks cabinet.
Each stave has been meticulously screwed down, the centre oak shelf is fixed while the lower oak shelf can revolve and both top and lower compartments are backlit with motion sensor LED light.
This has to be a perfect and unique gift, or perhaps you just want to spoil yourself
Shot serving paddles originated in Austria when the schnapps was passed around. These days they’re a beautiful addition to any party. The paddles are hand-crafted from natural timber and each one has four shot glasses.
These are made from oak sourced from our property here in Hunua.

These knife blocks are custom made to fit the Smeg knives which were sold at New World in 2020. They are hand-crafted in solid Rimu and come in a square or slimline configuration. Note – knives not included

OUR CANDLES
We have created a range of natural pieces that elevate the environment and surroundings they are in by their presence. The candles we supply are all natural beeswax candles.
The Single Branch Candle is our best seller, appealing to a range of people, young and old. They look great either in an indoor or outdoor setting. Made from natural timber branches they come in two sizes and they’re finished in a deep lasting high gloss polyurethane. We have two different coloured woods to choose from. Please see the reference picture and choose your preference. Each one comes with a beeswax candle offering a burn time of 6-8 hours.
